“The team at Casa Pandurata is warm and welcoming, and the location is hard to beat — walking distance to everything in SMA. The room is clean, spacious, and attractive, though seating is limited to the bed and a single desk chair. The beds are firm; too firm for us, causing hip pain. They provide a mini fridge. The listing warns of noise: our apartment overlooked Relox, where buses pass from early morning until late at night. It didn't bother us, and neither did the pet house next door. The bigger issue is the model. It runs like a hotel without a kitchen, microwave, or coffee maker — but without hotel services either. No maid service unless you pay extra, no coffee anywhere in the room or lobby. Towels are exchanged and trash collected on request. We were testing the area as a place to live, and this didn't work for us: every morning coffee and every meal meant going out, and a longer stay would have meant paying for cleaning.”
